This AOTA approved continuing education class will introduce you to efficacous evidence-based interventions that drive neuroplastic change resulting in improved balance following neurological injury.
The online class is intended for medical professionals (e.g. OT/OTA, PT/PTA, Physicians, etc.) directly related to the rehabilitation of a patient or client. To participate in this CEU and receive credit, the participant must be a licensed, treating clinician. Completion of this course will reward the participant with .1 CEUs or 1 contact hours, following completion of the presentation and a ≥ 80% score on the quiz. You will have 90 days to complete this course.
Brenda is a physical therapist and board-certified neuro specialist with 15 years of experience. She graduated from Marymount University and has practiced in multiple clinical settings including ICU, Acute Rehab and Inpatient Rehab, at which time she assisted her facility to develop educational programs to achieve joint commission certification . It was in these inpatient settings that she developed a passion for neurological rehabilitation seeing the impact it had in the quality of lives of its patients. During the 3 years she practiced in Home Care, she also worked as a rehabilitation manager for physical, occupational and speech therapists. Brenda most recent clinical experience has been in CCRCs (continuing care retirement communities), where she has been able to see first-hand the functional requirements that many elderly patients have to achieve throughout their therapeutic journey in the health care system to be able to achieve the ultimate goal of returning to independent living. She is currently the Clinical Director for THERA-Trainer USA.
